Mission: To lead and support Pennsylvania in becoming trauma-informed and healing-centered by providing resources, advocacy, and education via a multidisciplinary and multisectoral approach.
Vision: Pennsylvania as a place where trauma prevention is the norm, and individuals who experience trauma feel safe, respected, and supported in their healing process.
To create a healthy, just, resilient, and trauma-informed society where all individuals, families, and communities have the social, political, cultural, economic, and spiritual opportunities and support necessary to thrive.
Our work is grounded in NEAR science, which is a body of scientific research that includes Neuroscience, Epigenetics, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), and Resilience. NEAR illustrates how adversity, stress, and trauma impact individuals and society, as well as protective factors that promote better outcomes.
The mission of Lenape Valley Foundation is to partner with members of our community encountering mental health, substance use, intellectual or developmental challenges as they pursue their personal aspirations and an enhanced quality of life.
